Ben Sheets Reference

This website, which I read often, has a reference to Benny Boy.

For Tom Brady. Who has 30 fucking touchdowns, 2 interceptions and a QB rating of 136.2 on the year. It's like he's 2006 Ben Sheets and touchdowns are strikeouts and interceptions are walks. Right? Anybody? Anybody?

For the record, if you try to tell me that Brett Favre is a better QB than Tom Brady, you are lame. Interceptions are like giving up lots of walks, and we all know how bad that can be. Thank you FJM.

For F@cks Sake

Apparently, the TV writers union is about to go on strike. The results....and the envelope please....More reality TV. My question...havent you people learned anything? These are the top rated TV shows on. People watch survivor and the amazing race and big brother unquestionably. With out a doubt, every week. Ladies and gentlemen, lets get down to brass tax here. When your own life is not enough, we turn to watching peoples lives on the telly. Get up, go to Barnes and Noble and by a book for fucks sake. The Leather Stocking Tales by James Fenimore Cooper was the "soap opera" of its day, but we choose to loose brain cells watching idiot-a eat grubs for 2 weeks? Pretty soon, all of the good stuff will be lost and we will raise on high those that can find the most fucked up people and put them together in a situation, only to have a "Lord of the Flies" event take place. I like "The Running Man," do you?

And Yet More From the Cocksucker Dept.

One of the many wildfires in SoCal are the result of an idiot? I did see on the news this morning that the California Highway Patrol arrested one "bad ass motherfucker" for trying to light a fire. Thats why we dont light fires in places where it doesnt rain all that much. Use your brain.

Recognition at Long Last

I am a fan of Craig Biggio. Catcher, Second Baseman, Center Fielder, and Second Baseman for the Houston Astros. He is finally getting the recognition that he deserves.

So I figured I would dust off the old keyboard and use it for something other than porn.

Ain't the 21st century bad ass? Mice and texting, perfect combination.

I think I heard someone say "Colorado Kool-Aide?"

Those dang Brits, what will they think of next?

And I quote, "Proud and brave warrior."

Weapons from a more civilized age.

Its funny who they let use the Internets these days.

Cant stand this dude, but this is pretty cool.

So Let Me Understand This....

A bill is making its way through the state legislature that would require mental exams for all police officers according to the JS. I was always under the following impression, as I have had the honor and privilege of dealing with both.

For the most part, police officers are good people who want to protect the innocents of society. Unfortunately, there are those who get in that are assholes. Those that pull over black drivers in Brookfield, and beat the shit out of people when they are clearly in no need of the beating. There are also those who get through that are the "I am going to change the world types" that soon become jaded and bitter and jump at the chance to use their govt. issued firearms, thus becoming the first example.

Would it not be prudent of law enforcement depts. everywhere to give complete mental exams to both? Granted, you cant see the future and you cant see the bad eggs all of the time. I guess my question is: Why does it take the senseless murder of innocent teenagers to realize that there are some really bad people out there, who we as a state give weapons to? For fucks sake, the state employs enough shrinks to have these exams done already. Why now? Why when the situation comes to a head? I guess hindsight truly is 20/20.

DISCLAIMER: For the record, I am not against gun ownership. I do not like guns, but in the hands of a mentally competent individuals have the possibility of preventing violence before it escalates into people shooting up public places. Not to mention the fact that this guy was 20 and should not be allowed to enforce the law with public issued firearms.

Funny How Things Work Out

Cy Young is regarded as one of the best pitchers of all time. He does in fact have an award named after him. At the time of his retirement, he had and still has won more games than any other MLB pitcher. The other side of that coin is that he lost more games than anyone before as well as since.

Now lets look at our own noodle armed retiree.....
Most career passing touchdowns: 423
Tied most career interceptions thrown by a quarterback, with 277 (George Blanda, 277)

I think its funny....Brett Favre is the Cy Young of the NFL.

I Dig on Dogs But......

I had a dog. She was great. But this is nutty.

God Bless the Boss

George would be an idiot if he took drastic measures and fired Torre. Players do their job, and manegerial decisions are not important when your best reliever melts down as a result of gnats.

mmmmm.......donuts

Take a step back, think about it.....and now it is funny.
He offered to give the doughnut back. She declined and grabbed his arm.

Its That Time Again

Asses with cajones.

Disney whores. Or as Danny DeVito would say, who-ahs.

8th Grade Science

I got a 96%.
JustSayHi - Science Quiz

Dig the Euro Techno

I cant tell if this is real or not, but is is definitely bad ass.......

Dont Squeeze the Charmin

This is just ridiculous. Only in America can a person sue for being charged an extra 28 cents for TP. This is the same reason why medical insurance and lawyers cost so much. People can sue for just about anything. You cut me off in traffic? I'll sue you for metal distress. You took the last copy of Halo 3? I'll sue you for being faster than me....For fuck sake people, there is genocide in Africa.

Do You Like the Science??

Found this one this evening....

Enough of the Sport

Lest I turn this into a replica of total sports related blogs. This has turned up. Need I not remind you what rats do......
"They're very good swimmers. They'll eat anything. They're just very good at surviving."
Are they the new bears??

Lets See What Happens......

When you cant pass 3 of 4 downs when the snow is flying.

Congrats to Brett "the noodle-armed-retiree" Favre for the TD record. He deserves it. He is, most likely, one of the best QBs to ever make a football into a baby. But what is going to happen when there is absolutely no running game and the weather makes passing all the more difficult?
So I guess it is football season in Wisconsin.....
Disclaimer: I am a Packer fan who does not, once again like the Brewers, enjoy the current leadership. That is the sole job of the fan.

Nasty Ned Fan Club II

OK, this is the last time I am going to bitch, unless he says or does something really dumb over the winter. Have you ever noticed how most of the media, ie JS and their writers, are always sticking up for the waste of my precious oxygen manager? You can see examples here, here, here by the golf writer?, and here, as well as by paying for archived stuff, but that is lame. But lets focus on today's article. 10 things that cost the Brewers a playoff berth.
  • The Brewers lost 16 games during which they led at some point by three runs or more, the highest number in the major leagues......he seventh and eighth innings were particularly tricky for the Brewers, who were outscored, 208-159
Lets look at this one. Outscored by that many runs in the late innings. Could that be the fault of an inept jerk off who does not know how to give a quick hook to pitchers who aren't on in that situation?

  • An overworked Turnbow also hit the skids (9.35 ERA) in the final month, making it even tougher for Yost to bridge the gap from starting pitcher to Cordero. Yost was accused of "bullpen mismanagement" and did make curious decisions at times but the fact of the matter was the number of viable alternatives decreased dramatically.
Before the quote, the author began by saying that 3 other relievers went in the tank at about the same time. I know you cant totally blame the manager for the bullpen meltdown. But a couple things in particular come to mind. Sticking with Wise when he was obviously wrecked, bringing in Aquino, who the TV announcers think is the Bee's Knees. Or maybe continually going with Turnbow when he was obviously wrecked. Granted, the "number of viable alternatives" did drop off. But these are professional baseball players in a bullpen. Throw one of those guys out there for one batter, then bring in another, and maybe allow a 4-5 out save once in a while.

  • Hall began the season as the cleanup hitter but when he couldn't find any consistency at the plate he eventually sunk to No. 8. By September, he was sitting half the time, including critical games during the stretch run.
Might the above be that the lineup changed on a nightly basis from June to the middle of August? Whose fault is that? And what do you suppose riding the pine does to the delicate ego of a ball player? I would ask Geoff Jenkins that question.

At only one time in the article is our fearless leader even mentioned, and it is noted as a sort of anomaly. Like it happens, but sort of like finding 20 bucks in your pants pocket after you haven't worn them for a year happens.

The fact is, that under the current coaching regime, fast starts turn into devastating finishes. As well as the whole home vs. road debacle. Don't get me wrong, Mike Maddox has turned some real losers into great pitchers, and Neddy is really good at getting run out of games. All in all, you have to blame these sorts of things on the coaching staff. Look at the Butch Wyneger years, and how horrible the strikeouts and situational hitting was. In fact, I may argue that Jim Skalen, current hitting coach, was the lone bright spot. Even when salty veteran Dale Svuem ran things for those couple innings, he pinch hit with Craig Counsel.

List of potential free agents by position.
List of potential trade bait. Note that Rocco Baldelli was once the second coming of Joe D.
