Beginning of an Era?

According to Brewers Guy, Bill E. Hall will be riding the pine for the weekend series in Atlanta. Thus completing the Hall experiment and the beginning of the Mat Gamel experience. Good move. I didnt like to see Gamel rotting away on the bench while Hall was showing all of us what it really means to try hard and fail.

In recent weeks, Hall hasn’t hit righties or lefties. He has five hits in his last 59 at-bats (.085).

Thats pretty bad. And I will happily give up a few air mail parcels to first in favor of someone who actually knows how to hit.
Note to Bill E. Hall apologists out there: Do you think that he has been given a fair enough shake, what with moving all over the diamond the past couple years? Doesnt matter. He has sucked for 2 months, and letting a #1 prospect waste away is a federal offense at worst.

What are you doing posting at 4:57 am on a Friday morning? Get some sleep son.

I am a Hall fan, but more for him as a person, not a baseball player. He has no right to be on the field right now. Gamel should start everyday at 3rd, with Hall splitting time at short and 2nd when need be. I also worry about having Hall as your #1 or #2 pinch hitter, you're better off having Gallardo pinch hit. Hall does do a lot in the community; he doesn't over $300,000 a year to various city baseball leagues for youth. These leagues would not exist without him, and are probably going to disappear when the Brewers get rid of Hall.
