What Happens When You Cant Shake Out the Booze?

.3 is classified as stupor.

My pimp hand is strong.

The Spine-Tailed Swift is a fast bird.

Fire-bombed or not, this is pretty cool.

Good, but not delicious.

How Could You Not Want to Be This Guy

Brian Shouse has been the guy out of the pen for the last couple years. What can you say? Despite the fact that they have a couple of lame asses out there, the one solid has been Shousy. Though the Neddy Bear loves, to the point of man-crush status, the motarino, he did a good job this evening....Sorry for the wait, I just went to vomit...all of the tequila I have had this evening. Way to go on #2.

Giddy Like a School Girl

The Brewer guy has his sources tell him that the Crew is looking at trading Oakland for this guy.

The Brewers are looking for relief help, and Street is believed to be available on the trade market, so it's easy to put one and one together to get two.

WOW. As noted last evening, I thought that this may happen a couple years ago. This is bad ass. Young, proven, and relatively cheap. And the 2 more years until free agency thing is pretty cool as well. This would allow for the DFA of Mota. And move Gagne to mop up duty. Good show Mustache. Good show.

UPDATE: Why do you taunt me with possibly being right for the first time in the last 15 years? Damn you straight to the pits of Hades Brewers guy.

Always Refer to Punk Rock

One of the fishwrap blogs has this to say. I dont know anything about the trial, or the people involved, or why this dude is writing about it. But it is always good to see someone think that people who read these things may get some education from a shitty no name punk band.

A witness said he would go see Ford at a place called "curl up and die." We didn't figure he was talking about the Las Vegas punk band of the same name.

For some education for these people, as well as the rest of you, here once again is a bit of the good shit.

Old and not hip to the new shit...Listen, you may learn some things

Question

So the Brewers guy at the local daily proposed a question. The nice people at the JS allow comments to their blog which is nice. I do not comment on these blogs, as I do not like giving the old email to just anybody, and I do not like to be confused with the intellectual elite. Lets look at what we have.

Rickie Weeks was a boon of potential talent when drafted. Though his career has been marred by injury...yet another glass bodied Brewer...his numbers are kind of odd in a good way. Like taking your sisters best friend to the prom. He tends to get on base, and he tends to score lots of runs. I think that this is because he hits for power and is fast. IE, he gets hit by pitches, steals a base, and the scores on a sacrifice. Or he hits a home run. But he does not have a lot of those. So that means that he strikes out a lot. A lot. Is that how you want your lead off hitter to play?

Pitching wins championships. And right now, the pen looks like a sighning table at a card convention, which I have been to a couple of times. Obviously the hitting is there. They can score runs. At least against good pitching that is. Get me a reliever who is better than these guys, and you may, repeat may, just get me a W in the next three years. Note I did not say closer. Saves are over rated and expensive. Or just get me a real lead off hitter. Get on, move over, score..Every time, or at least most of the time.

Since I Cannot Form My Own Opinion

Recently, the blogfather had this to say about the recent dust up over the New Yorker cover. Wasnt there a Seinfeld where Elaine does something for that magazine? And the whole time, George and Jerry are saying that the cartoons are never funny because they make no sense? I guess I sort of thought that same way about the cover. My thoughts were pretty solidified as I read this article on my lunch break(all day) in the office today. Though that website tends to sway to the right hand side of the dial, it is a pretty good piece. You have to get a bit down the page before it starts to get good. You know, there is the usual lefty bashing, and a reference to facists at the end, but there is this quote...

In any case, those about whom the outraged presumably are most concerned are: (1) unlikely to pick up a New Yorker; (2) unlikely to be swayed or disabused of their preconceptions. So what exactly are they worried about?...
That yahoos just passing by a newsstand will see those images and have their paranoid suspicions confirmed?

Yes, Ill admit that it is a bit racist, and upon first glance, plays on all of the aformentioned fears. But come on, the guy doesnt wear a flag pin...just kidding. It is safe to assume that they would publish a cover with McCain curled up in his cell in the Hanoi Hilton being fed a plate of viagra with his cellmate the offshore oil rig. In which case, we would hear the same whining and crying from the so-called intellectual elite in this article, except it would be from the other side. In all, I guess I am not smart enough to get the satire in the cover, but that doesnt mean that it isnt funny to smart people. This lady seems to think that if we start to become outraged at any attempt at humor that we dont get, that is even more frightening. I mean, what is safe humor? I know that "man getting hit in the nuts with football" is funny on many different levels, but getting angry at any type of humor that is insulting to anyone?? Look at South Park. That show has to be catching, if it hasnt already, some of the longest running shows on TV. And they routinly rail on everything. If that is the way it is going to be, I may as well take my toaster in the bath right now.
