For the Geeks Out There

Paul DePodesta, GM for the San Diego Padres, now has a blog. I am pretty sure that he is one of the people mentioned in Money Ball, though I havent read it in a while. For the most part, you only hear from GMs on the radio and in the paper. So for those of us who like a bit more than the ordinary fan, this is pretty bad ass.

I Guess the Sun Does Not Shine on a Dog's Ass

The newspaper has this in their blog section. I prefer this that was posted yesterday I believe. Unfortunately, I will not be able to be patient with this one. Normally, I would say something like "first time out for a new team, maybe he was nervous." No thank you sir. If he cant control the ball, he cant control the ball, and AAAA players are not going to help. I wish Doug Melvin would have given me 3 million dollars.
Sorry about the picture on the old blog, it really made the post, but blogger screwed with it a long time ago. Also, thanks BCB.

With All of the Talk About Travel Recently

Just be happy you members of the aeroplane traveling elite werent this guy. 2 million is a nice chuck of change for being forced to sit in one of the few places that a person can get some real thinking done.
the pilot told him to "go 'hang out' in the bathroom"

Because 3am Just Wasnt Good Enough

The damn liberal elite and their damn revisionist history.

Sometimes, you have to go with your gut and say fuck no.

I think you all know what kind of game it is. H/T to Jimbo.

No thanks, and I love bacon.

I think we have Chopper's long lost son.

It Has Been a While...

But I have been so choked with anger over the local baseball club, that the best I could do was lay in my bead and cry with the lights off. By my count, thats 6 straight losses. Sad, when the division leaders are coming to town this weekend. Speaking of last nights game, it is going to be tough to score runs when you empty your bench into the lineup. Joe Dillon may be the poster boy for grit and hustle, but a #3 hitter he is most certainly not. Way to shake up the lineup Neddy Bear. On a lighter note the local news, who are the biggest water boys for the maligned manager, are finally moving to the side that has been growing pretty quickly since last year. Although, the good people at the JS dropped a bomb of knowledge on us earlier in the week with this one. No shit Sherlock. The guy who wrote that is a worse hack than the normal Brewer Guy. Next, he will Maddenise his commentary by saying things like "Now the team that scores more runs will win the game."

It looks as though Neddy Bear can no longer motivate his players with his "it is still early" mantra. When is it not early? The end of June, when at this pace, they are 10 games back? The end of July when they trade Ben Sheets at the deadline for prospects? Who knows. Go Brewers.

Apparently, these cats are coming to play.

It just fits dont it?

If He Jumped Off a Bridge...

Since everything I do is based on Chopper's life, here is some more of the Bloodhound Gang. Man that guy can think of words, cant he? Sad that no one cares. Power chords and funny words.

I wish I was wacked out on wowie sauce. He says Milwaukee.

If this was not my theme song, this would be.

Kick back and peep game bitches.

What Do You Suppose this Could Mean?

Is this the end of the Turnbow era in Beer Town? Please Sweet Zombie Jesus, make it so.
UPDATE(5:53pm): The Sweet Zombie Jesus works in strange and mysterious ways. The above prayer has been answered, but he giveth and he taketh away. The worst part is, we wont ever be seeing the 1-2 punch that would have been Sheets(when healthy) and Gallardo power down the stretch to the playoffs. Welcome back to Milwaukee Bushy. Here are what some people are saying.
